Looking for all the best plays of the week? You’ve come to the right place. Here are the 10 best highlights of Week 5 action.
10. Welcome to the NFL Myles Garrett
After missing the first four games of his rookie season, it didn’t long for No.1 overall pick Myles Garrett to make his presence known. Not even three minutes into the game, Garrett busted through the Jets offensive line to get pick up his first career sack on Josh McCown. This is the kind of explosiveness every team drooled over watching Garrett in college.
But he wasn’t done there, Garrett picked up another sack on McCown right before halftime. The Browns may very well go winless this season, but they’ve got some tremendous young talent to be excited about. If this is a preview of what’s to come, Garrett is going to be a nightmare for opposing offenses for a very long time.
9. The Dalton-Green connection
The Bengals haven’t had much to cheer about through the early part of the season, but things have started to pick up. After firing offensive coordinator Ken Zampese, Andy Dalton and the offense have looked miles better. Dalton laid it on the Browns last week, throwing for four touchdown passes en route to a 31-7win. He continued that same success through the air early on against the Bills.
Like they’ve done so many times before, Dalton found his favorite target A.J. Green in the first quarter. Green absolutely torched rookie corner back Tre’Davious White and found himself streaking along the right side of the field on his own. Dalton landed the ball right in the bread basket and Green was off to the races for the 77-yard touchdown.
When those two are on the same page, it’s good news for the Bengals offense.
