Who are the top fantasy football waiver targets going into week 7?
Another week in the NFL is in the books, and as usual, some players stood out who may not have been on fantasy players’ radars. Sifting through who’s worth picking up and who’s not can be difficult, but that’s where I come in. Here are 10 players worth grabbing this week in fantasy football:
10. Chris Ivory, RB, Jacksonville
With the prolific Leonard Fournette nursing a sprained ankle, Ivory should be targeted if you’re in need of a bye week filler. Fournette is expected to play against the Colts after suffering the injury on Sunday, but Ivory managed to carve out a different sort of role for himself on Sunday as a pass-catching back.
Typically known more as a bruising back with occasionally soft hands, Ivory reeled in nine catches on 10 targets for 79 yards and a touchdown on Sunday, buoying his value despite an underwhelming two carries for three yards on the ground. Even before Fournette’s injury in the fourth quarter, Ivory had carved out a role as a third-down back throughout the game. At this point in the season, running back depth is hard to find — by adding Ivory, you not only get a potential late-blossoming check-down option in a limited offense but also the primary backup to one of the premier running back options in fantasy.
