Texans at Ravens: Highlights, score and recap

Baltimore Ravens, Houston Texans

The injury-riddled Texans traveled to play the Ravens in Baltimore on Monday night. Which AFC team climbed back into the race for a playoff spot?

This game might have meant more for the Baltimore Ravens if the Houston Texans hadn’t seen their stars on both sides of the ball go down for the year a while back, but the Ravens will take their Monday Night Football win at home regardless.

In a lackluster game full of rushing touchdowns and field goals, the Ravens took home a 23-16 victory to move to 6-5 on the year. They didn’t exactly shine in any specific area offensively, and they squeaked by a squad of backups to move back into contention for a potential wildcard spot in the process.

The game wasn’t anything special as far as highlights are concerned, with a few rushing touchdowns accounting for most of the action on the night. However, if you missed the game and are interested in what happened, you can check out the highlights below:

Three Stars

1. Alex Collins

Alex Collins was the leader of a Ravens backfield that contributed two rushing touchdowns on the night, and Collins helped give his team the lead after Javorius Allen’s first touchdown to get things rolling for the Ravens offense. In a lackluster night for the team’s offense overall, Collins provided a nice spark in the running game to get the win.

2. Justin Tucker

Kickers have been getting the nod in these three stars a few times this week, with Justin Tucker taking the second star in this game. He didn’t account for a touchdown like Javorius Allen did in the Ravens backfield, but Tucker did nail a 53-yard field goal along with two other key kicks that proved to be crucial in the game for the Ravens.

3. DeAndre Hopkins

The Texans receiver had a huge game, tallying seven catches for 125 yards to give the Texans offense a huge boost. Although they came up short, Hopkins’ performance with a quarterback like Tom Savage throwing him the ball should be promising for Texans fans.

Next Week

The Ravens will move on to play the Detroit Lions back at home in Week 13, and the Texans will continue on their road trip as they head to play the Tennessee Titans next Sunday.
