Ryan Tannehill excited about the 2017 NFL season

The Miami Dolphins have a lot of talent on the roster heading into the 2017 NFL season and their quarterback is very excited about that.

Ryan Tannehill and the Miami Dolphins made the playoffs following a solid 2016 NFL regular season, though Tannehill was too injured to play in the team’s blowout loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. In 2017, Tannehill feels the Dolphins have the most talented offense they have had since he has been there, which could equate to a return trip to the playoffs. The team got a breakout season from running back Jay Ajayi last season and are hoping to get a comeback year from newly acquired tight end Julius Thomas in 2017.

During his time at the University of Alabama, tight end O.J. Howard was not used much in the team’s offense. While he was the MVP of the national title game two years ago, the Crimson Tide are more of a running team. Now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, his incredible talent has been on full display, and star quarterback Jameis Winston called him a “specimen” when asked about the 2017 first round draft pick.

Tom Brady led his New England Patriots to another Super Bowl last season, pulling off a historic comeback in the second half against the Atlanta Falcons to win his fifth ring. Six weeks ago, his wife, Gisele Bundchen, said that he suffered a concussion during the regular season. When asked about it recently, Brady deflected the topic, never fully denying that he did in fact have one. Brady missed no time with a concussion in 2016.

Staying with the New England Patriots, it appears Rob Gronkowski may have to find another logo. A huge spokesman for the Nike Brand, Gronkowski created a logo of a silhouette of him spiking the ball, and the apparel giant said it looks to much like the company’s Jumpman logo. Named for Michael Jordan, the Jumpman logo has been around since 1987, which is actually longer than Gronk has been on this Earth.

In some sad news, former NFL tight end Mitchell Henry passed away this past weekend after a battle with leukemia. Henry was released from the Baltimore Ravens practice squad this past November, and a pain in the shoulder made him get checked out by a doctor. The doctors found a large mass in his chest, and while they tried to treat it, he lost his life. Our prayers are with his friends and family.
