With aging veterans alongside of him, Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson knows the 2017 NFL season is an important one.
The 2017 NFL season is a big one for the Arizona Cardinals, as they look to make it back to the playoffs after a one-year hiatus in 2016. With veterans Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald back for another season, star running back David Johnson knows the pressure is on him to deliver a championship. Johnson is one of the more elite backs in all of football, and should play an even bigger part in the offense this season.
Jim Mora was Peyton Manning’s first head coach during his time in Indianapolis, though he is mostly known for his “playoffs” tirade. Manning did most of his damage for the Colts with Tony Dungy as his head coach, leading the team to a Super Bowl win against the Chicago Bears. The Colts plan to unveil a statue of Manning outside of Lucas Oil Stadium this season, but Mora has decided to skip the event.
Brian Urlacher is one of the more legendary Chicago Bears of all time, and he is currently confused about the quarterback situation of his beloved Bears. Urlacher does not understand why the team would bring in Mike Glennon as a free agent, and then draft Mitchell Trubisky No. 2 overall. Perhaps it is the “Lovie Curse,” which Urlacher believes the franchise is under since they fired Lovie Smith following a 10-6 2012 season. That was the team’s last winning season.
Hunter Henry had the luxury of breaking into the NFL and playing behind Antonio Gates last season, showing a ton of promise in a very solid rookie season. Henry hauled in 54 passes as the team’s No. 2 option at the tight end position, including eight touchdowns. Tight end coach John McNulty thinks Henry has the goods, and while Gates is 37 years old, it looks like he has a solid player to hand the position over to once he retires.
Russell Wilson attended the Manning Passing Academy when he was in high school, and now he wants to start one of his own. After running a one-day camp for the last few years, Wilson will now run one year-round, calling it the Russell Wilson Quarterback Academy. Wilson has been one of the better quarterbacks in the league since being drafted out of NC State, and his Seattle Seahawks are once again a favorite in the NFC in 2017.
