49ers transformed Levi’s Stadium into a golf course

NFL, The Outside Game

The San Francisco 49ers experienced a pretty successful overhaul this offseason and that trend continued with the transformation of Levi’s Stadium into a paradise of a golf course.

If you follow the NFL, and chances are you definitely do, it’s no secret the 49ers have been a spiraling mess ever since Jim Harbaugh gleefully fled the scene for happier times in Ann Arbor.

A pointless battle of egos between CEO Jed York, former GM Trent Baalke and basically the entire front office finally culminated in the team ripping up the entire script and bringing in new blood.

With John Lynch as the new GM, the highly coveted Kyle Shannan taking over as head coach and — by all accounts — a tremendous 2017 NFL Draft, the Niners are perfectly positioned for a revival.

So now what? Now it’s time for a little golf at Levi’s Stadium, obviously.

Even if the thought of golf makes you somewhat nauseous, the photos feel a lot more like miniature golf on steroids than it does a snooty golf outing with Randolph and Mortimer.

In total, there were nine holes on the field with scoring based on how close you get to the hole.

How anyone was able to keep track of hundreds of golf balls flying in all directions from the middle and upper decks of a freakin’ football stadium, I have not a clue.

Here’s a video that offers a closer look at the weekend-long event, which was designed and setup by Stadiumlinks.

[In June, they hosted similar events at the homes of the Buccaneers and Redskins.]

Golfing at Levi’s Stadium!

If you’ve ever had trouble getting the proper arc on the ball, this kind of positioning might bring some confidence to your game.

Or completely kill it.

Not sure, to be honest.

Always remember, when playing golf — even in an unusual setting like a football stadium — it’s absolutely crucial to remember your balls.

Seriously, practice swings in the upper deck tee box that sits approximately five billion feet above the hole? This guy definitely plays a minimum of 108 holes per week.

We’ll end this one on an appropriate Niners note: Some dude in a Deion jersey getting in some golf under the lights at, where else, Levi’s Stadium.
