Pittsburgh Steelers superstar Le’Veon Bell calls out teammate Bud Dupree in freestyle while requesting a higher payday.
Not only is Le’Veon Bell arguably the best running back in the world, he’s also pretty good at this rapping thing. Over the past year or so, Bell has randomly gifted us with freestyles.
In his latest edition, Bell took some playful shots at linebacker Bud Dupree. Also, it appears Bell was requesting $17 million per year.
“AB. Yeah, I see ya’ll cuz. Big dog, I got pups bigger than Air Bud,” Bell raps. “Are you aware, Bud, why I’m not at practice? I’mma need 17, cuz 26 is savage. They say the franchise should be enough. Pockets of Professor Clump. Let me get back to my day, I can’t keep showing Buddy love.”
As mentioned before, this seems to be all in good fun. However, it appears Bell is serious when mentioning he needs 17. Earlier in the summer, Bell declined a long-term deal that would’ve paid him $12 million per season.
Luckily for Steelers fans, Bell is expected to return just in time for their season opener against the Cleveland Browns next week.
In the meantime, Dupree has decided to clap back at Bell in a rap of his own:
Sorry Dupree, but I think it’s safe to say Bell won this battle. There’s no shame in losing a rap beef to Bell. After all, he’s better than half of the mainstream rappers you hear on the radio today.
Despite missing all of training camp and preseason, you shouldn’t worry about Bell being rusty. Last season, Bell was suspended for the first three games of the season. However, he still managed to earn 1,268 rushing yards to go along with seven touchdowns on the ground.
As we all know, the Steelers offense goes as Bell goes.
