Best lineup for Week 8

FanDuel, Fantasy Football

When entering FanDuel NFL contests for Week 8, here’s a lineup to consider using.

As I do each week, let’s first look back and see how my FanDuel NFL lineup did in Week 7.

Quarterback: Marcus Mariota-8.92 points
Running Backs:
LeSean McCoy-24.7 points, Adrian Peterson-3.8 points
Wide Receivers: Julio Jones-20.4 points, Michael Thomas-11.7 points, Robert Woods-8.8 points
Tight End:
Jimmy Graham-12.6 points
Kicker:
Dan Bailey-2 points
Defense:
Minnesota Vikings-6 points

You know it’s a rough week when your kicker gets hurt and can’t finish the game. The Vikings defense also would have done better if not for allowing a garbage time touchdown. Mariota didn’t deliver in a good matchup, and a blowout loss rendered Peterson useless early. Otherwise, the rest of the Week 7 lineup was decidedly uninteresting.

To keep up with all of FanSided’s DFS NFL coverage head over to the fantasy football hub where each week you can find a post like this tailored for DraftKings as well as one specifically designed for usage on FanDuel.  In this post, all salary and “fantasy points” references are to FanDuel scoring system and salaries. Without further ado, here’s my FanDuel lineup for Week 8 (which I’m using in a Sunday-Monday contest).

Quarterback: Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles-$7,900

Wentz continued his hot streak in Week 7 against the Washington Redskins, with four touchdown passes, 268 passing yards and 63 rushing yards. Over his last three games, he has 11 touchdown passes and just two interceptions while adding to his fantasy value with 99 combined rushing yards over that span. Some regression might be coming, but a Week 8 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers is not likely to be the Sunday it shows.

The 49ers have allowed five touchdown passes, and seven total touchdowns, to quarterbacks over their last two games. Going back a little further, they have allowed multiple passing touchdowns or at least 292 passing yards in each of their last five games.

A short week should be noted for Wentz, but the Eagles are playing at home against a team traveling cross-country. He’s even a pretty good value at $7,900 on FanDuel.
