NFL fans react to Madden Cam on the Steelers-Titans broadcast

Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans

NBC is going with the Madden Cam Thursday night for Steelers-Titans, and of course, the fans have some reactions.

The Thursday Night Football game this week brings us an AFC matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Tennessee Titans in the Steel City. Now, there is a pretty major difference with this game between the Steelers and Titans as opposed to any other NFL game that we have seen this season.

As most know, this entire game will be broadcast using the Madden Cam, which essentially is a sky cam. The NFL is constantly trying to find ways to enhance its broadcasts, and this is just the latest example of that.

Of course, though, as with any changes in sports, fans will have their reactions, good or bad. Twitter was lighting up with them right after the game got underway.

Again, anytime something changes in sports, you’re going to have people who love it and people who hate it. Heck, that’s not just in sports, but pretty much any changes in the world, to be honest.

All in all, though, there are probably more positive reactions to the camera angle on Thursday night than most thought there’d be. It did take a little bit to get used to, but after a few plays, you actually do kind of learn to love it. That’s really just my personal opinion, anyway.

It’ll be interesting to see, going forward, how many games the league uses this for if most of the feedback they get is positive. Maybe it won’t be something they use for the Super Bowl coming up next February, but definitely something they could revisit on a more consistent basis for games next season.
