After a one-week hiatus via benching, Tyrod Taylor will start for the Buffalo Bills in Week 12 of the 2017 NFL season on Sunday.
In Week 11 of the 2017 NFL season, Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott made the decision to go with rookie Nathan Peterman over Tyrod Taylor at quarterback. Not only was this move questionable based on Taylor’s play, but the Bills were in the playoff hunt, and the move certainly did not work out. Peterman threw five interceptions against the Chargers, was benched in the second half and has now lost the job to Taylor, who will start Sunday.
Staying with the Buffalo Bills, it looks like Kelvin Benjamin might not play this weekend. Benjamin has been dealing with a knee injury and is currently listed as day-to-day. The veteran wideout has a history of injuries during his NFL career, and if the Bills are going to make a playoff push, they certainly need him in the lineup.
Dwight Freeney is one of the best sack masters the NFL has ever seen, though he is currently out of work. The veteran was signed by the Seattle Seahawks last month, and despite three sacks in four games with the team, he was released on Wednesday. He proved he can still play, and with more left in the tank, you never know where he may end up for the rest of the season if he decides not to retire.
Andre Ellington was released by the Arizona Cardinals this week, and it did not take him long to find another job. The veteran running back was signed by the Houston Texans on Wednesday as they try to add depth to a depleted backfield. Rookie running back D’Onta Foreman suffered a gruesome injury this past weekend after scoring his first two NFL touchdowns, and is now done for the season.
Thursday is Thanksgiving Day, and that means turkey, stuffing and NFL football. The slate is pretty solid on Thursday with the Minnesota Vikings traveling to Detroit to kick off the festivities at 12:30pm ET. That game is followed by the Los Angeles Chargers taking on the Dallas Cowboys, and then Washington hosting the New York Giants in the nightcap. Eat, watch football and repeat.
