Seahawks humble Eagles on national television, 24-10

Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Seahawks

The Eagles and Seahawks showcased a battle of the birds on Sunday Night Football in Week 13. Who came out on top on the primetime stage?

The Philadelphia Eagles rolled into Week 13 with a 10-1 record and a seat atop the NFC, but they didn’t look like the same team that had crushed offenses left and right in 2017 when they went up against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night.

The 12’s were too much for Carson Wentz and the Eagles, as Russell Wilson led the Seahawks with an offensive charge to a 24-10 win. The hometown fans in Seattle caused havoc for the Eagles, getting to Wentz multiple times throughout the night, and the noise eventually ended in a huge Seahawks victory.

The night featured a ton of crazy plays by both sides, with the Seahawks working their usual magic to get rolling on the night and continue their trend of succeeding in the second half of their seasons. If you missed the action, you can check out some of the highlights below:

Three Stars

1. Russell Wilson

The Seahawks quarterback crushed it for his offense, throwing three touchdowns on the night against a stout Eagles defense to lead his team to the win. He accounted for all of the touchdowns on the night, throwing to Tyler Lockett, Jimmy Graham and J.D. McKissic to deliver the Eagles their second loss of the season.

2. Doug Baldwin

Although he didn’t find the end zone officially, Doug Baldwin had a solid night even without any touchdowns in his stat line. He had five receptions for 84 yards to pace the Seahawks receiving corps, and got back to his productive self as the Seahawks get ready for a push to the postseason.

3. Seahawks defense

This one is a bit of a cop out, but the Seahawks defense as a whole looked insane on the night, giving up just 10 points to the hottest offensive team in the league with their secondary incredibly battered. Even without Richard Sherman, their defense looked Super Bowl-worthy against a previously stellar offense, and the Seahawks proved they aren’t going anywhere just yet.

Next Week

The Philadelphia Eagles will turn their attention to another tough NFC West opponent when they travel again to take on the Los Angeles Rams, while the Seahawks will face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 14 on the road.
