The Indianapolis Colts have been utterly miserable this season, but at least two people are finding joy at Lucas Oil Stadium on Thursday night.
Nothing beats getting married to your best friend. Hopefully, that’s what we have here on Thursday night in Indianapolis, with a couple going through wedding rehearsal on the field. You can clearly see players stretching in the background, probably wondering what the heck is going on.
Then again, considering the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts are a combined 7-19 on the campaign, perhaps they are enjoying a mental break from their anguish.
If the couple is really lucky, maybe neither one of them kept watching football after Peyton Manning retired. Manning played for the Colts from 1998-2011 before being released and then signed by John Elway and the Broncos. Manning won a Super Bowl for each team, so if the couple rooted for Manning more than a specific team, they got while the getting was good and then moved on at the right time.
As for the game, the Colts and Broncos are set to kick off Week 15 on Thursday night, with the Broncos actually favored on the road. However, the contest will be without multiple star players including Ron Leary, Derek Wolfe, Malik Hooker, Andrew Luck and others.
Let’s hope that the nuptials go better than the season for either one of these two teams, and that the future is bright for all parties involved. After all, the Indianapolis faithful could use something to cheer about.
