2018 NFL Scouting Combine: Day 3 schedule

NFL Scouting Combine

The third day of the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine continues Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. Here’s a look at the schedule for all position groups.

With just two days left, the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine is coming to an end. Fans and viewers alike can be satisfied because the combine has been as good as advertised this year. We’ve been entertained with plenty of fantastic performances all around the board.

By this time, the Day 1 and Day 2 arrivals have departed from Indianapolis. Only two groups remain to finish out their workouts and tests. Plenty of action kicks off at 9 a.m. and this is another day you won’t want to miss.

Here’s a look at Sunday’s schedule for the final two groups.

Day 3 Arrivals: Defensive Lineman, Linebackers

On-Field Workout (timing, stations, skill drills) — Departure from Indianapolis

Day 4 Arrivals: Defensive Backs

NFLPA Meeting — Psychological Testing — Media — Bench Press — Interviews

We finally get the opportunity to see the other side of the ball. Defensive linemen and linebackers are up for on-field workouts. Defensive backs will undergo testing, the bench press and regularly scheduled interviews with teams. If you think teams care less about these days, you’re wrong. Many teams value this side of the ball more than anything. Just look at most of the NFL playoff teams last season.

There’s a common theme and it starts with defensive dominance.

Who’s going to steal the show today? Shaquem Griffen put up 20 reps on the bench press and now gets the chance to show he’s just as talented as any other linebacker in the group. Why he has to fight to get an invite to the combine is just silly in the first place. Plus, if you liked watching offensive lineman, then you’ll have a treat seeing the big boys in the trenches.
