New England Patriots full schedule leaked before reveal

New England Patriots, NFL Schedule

Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots are used to keeping things in-house but did their regular season schedule get released today?

The NFL is set to release the regular season schedules for all 32 tonight at 8 p.m., but like every year, they fail to keep it confidential. Numerous schedule leaks have ensued throughout the day, revealing everything from primetime matchups to a full 16-game list.

An experienced organization like the New England Patriots almost always keep their news in-house but fell victim to the leaks today.

While the 16-game schedule wasn’t fully revealed, fans now have a general idea of what Brady and Belichick will be working with this season, thanks to Marc Bertrand of 98.5 WBZ-FM.

The Patriots will open the regular season against the Houston Texans on September 9th. The game will be a 1 p.m. kickoff on Sunday afternoon. They’ll follow the home opener with two road games against the Jaguars and Lions, before returning home against the Dolphins.

A reunion with former defensive coordinator Matt Patricia in Week 3 will make for plenty of headlines.

Bertrand noted that the Patriots will not play on Thanksgiving this season. However, five of their first nine games will be played at night, meaning primetime matchups will be plentiful for one of the AFC’s best.

The Patriots will travel to Orchard Park on October 29th for Monday Night Football and will face off against a familiar face in Mike Vrabel and the Tennessee Titans on November 11th.

UPDATE: Here’s the full schedule for New England…

The reigning AFC champions have the 22nd most difficult strength of schedule, which is a scary thought for the rest of the NFL.

Barring a sudden retirement by Tom Brady, the Patriots are still the top dogs in the conference, no question about it.
