The NFL Draft is over, but the reaction is just beginning. Here are the 10 teams that should walk away the happiest as we head towards summer.
10. Chicago Bears
The Bears came into the offseason with a ton of needs. After filling many during free agency, Chicago general manager Ryan Pace continued that trend in the early rounds of the draft.
In the first round, the Bears got the best linebacker in the class with Roquan Smith, who should carry the proud tradition in Chicago at the second level. Pace then went out and got center James Daniels and receiver Anthony Miller. The Bears should be very happy with their considerable haul.
9. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles just continue to add to a championship roster. Many thought that the offseason would see general manager Howie Roseman having to move on from some talented players due to cap reasons, but that wasn’t the case. Roseman did well in free agency and then added onto that start with a draft class that should pay dividends now and down the road.
Dallas Goedert is a fantastic get in the second round and should play as a perfect compliment to Zach Ertz. Additionally, the third-day pick of Josh Sweat is a risk because of the medical, but he could be a huge steal for a team already loaded to the hilt with defensive stars.
