Juiciest training camp battle for each NFL team

NFL News

The NFL season cannot get here soon enough, and as teams hit organized team activities, let us look at a juicy training camp battle for each NFL team.

With the NFL hitting the time when teams head to organized team activities, there is already a ton of training camp battles going on. While teams will be shaping their roster a bunch from now until Week 1, some battles have emerged that are worth keeping your eye on all summer long.

As we enter June, rookies are starting to get involved more with the first and second team, and some are out to prove they belong with the first-team exclusively. In this piece, we take a look at one training camp for each organization that we feel is the  juiciest of them all.

Arizona Cardinals: Josh Rosen vs. Sam Bradford

During the 2018 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals traded up five spots to the No. 10 overall selection, where they took a quarterback. That quarterback was Josh Rosen from UCLA, who many believe is the smartest quarterback that draft class had to offer.

Prior to the draft, the Cardinals had already made a move to solidify the quarterback position, which was left vacant due to Carson Palmer’s retirement. The Cardinals signed Sam Bradford to a huge two-year deal, with the hope that Bradford would be able to finally stay healthy for a full season.

Arizona has a new head coach in Steven Wilks, and he would obviously like to win right away in year one. If that is the case, Rosen will need a big preseason to unseat Bradford, who can be a productive signal-caller if he can ever stay on the field long enough to actually lead a team.

The battle will rage on, however, as Wilks is not going to hold his rookie quarterback back. If he can prove that he gives the Cardinals the best chance to win in Week 1, then you can believe that Wilks will make the move to him.

David Johnson is back healthy, and Larry Fitzgerald is coming back for another season. This team is built to win right now, and you have you have to question whether the veteran Bradford is the right choice, or a young player who just may have the mentality to win games in his rookie campaign.
