The PPR fantasy football league format has dramatically increased in popularity which has see a rise in the wide receiver’s value.
It’s looking like a big year for the wide receiver position. There are several high-profile targets who are coming off huge years. It’s going to be fun watching the likes of Antonio Brown, DeAndre Hopkins and Odell Beckham Jr. fight for the top spot.
This PPR mock draft organized by ESPN has nine wide receivers selected in the first two rounds. Brown when the highest at No. 4 overall, but there’s a case to be made for him to go higher.
Deep Sleeper- Josh Malone of the Cincinnati Bengals is on the verge of grabbing some meaningful targets this year. He’s working against John Ross and Tyler Boyd for snaps. Malone has more than enough talent to pass both on the depth chart.
Biggest Risk – Brandin Cooks will have a role in the Los Angeles Rams offense, but it’s up in the air just how many targets he will get. The Rams have more than a few options who will also be in line for targets.
Biggest Injury Concern – Keenan Allen is a fantasy stud when healthy, but his injury history is scary. He’s a prime candidate to be the first round pick who doesn’t finish the season on your roster.
Safest pick – It’s hard not to lock Antonio Brown in as the safest pick. He has history on his side with long string of highly productive seasons. The Steelers aren’t going to change things up this year which means Brown is inline for the same type of workload.
