Roll with Mahomes and Ravens

NFL Odds

At some point, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are going to lose. Per our Week 5 NFL Betting Guide don’t bet on it happening this week.

The less said about our performance last week, the better. We got our big bet right with the Saints covering against the Giants, but the rest of the schedule was pretty weird. Suffice it to say, we don’t like overtime.

We’re determined to bounce back this week though. There aren’t a ton of lines we love in the Week 5 schedule, but there are some nice opportunities to make some money. We’re not suggesting you bet the mortgage this week on any one particular game, but the following five plays should give you nice value.

We start our picks with a game that should be pretty ugly, but the profits might be beautiful for you. As always, all of our odds are provided by Oddsshark.com.

5. Back the Broncos +1 at the Jets

This is one of those lines you need to jump on if you want to get this number. The sharks are already starting to put serious money behind Denver. Given the way the Jets have played lately, that shouldn’t be a surprise.

Of course, Denver can’t be accused of lighting the world on fire lately either. They did, however, come really close to knocking off the Chiefs at home last week. Something tells us that stopping Sam Darnold should prove to be simpler than slowing down Mahomes.

Specifically, we’re looking for Von Miller and Bradley Chubb to wreak havoc in this game. Darnold already looks like he wants to get rid of the ball as soon as he drops back. That’s going to make it impossible for the Jets to push the ball down the field. New York won’t be able to nickel and dime their way down the field against Denver.

Bet on Keenum and the Broncos offense to do just enough to earn their team a pretty comfortable victory. This game won’t be a work of art, but Denver should prevail.
