Giants take Justin Herbert at No. 1

NFL Mock Draft

We are over a quarter of the way through the 2018 NFL season, and here is our latest 2019 NFL Mock Draft, with the New York Giants picking first overall.

The NFL season is in full swing, and some teams are really starting to separate themselves from the pack. Unfortunately, some of those teams are separating themselves in the wrong way, and for the New York Giants, they just may get their new franchise quarterback after all.

Here is our latest 2019 NFL Mock Draft, starting with the Giants at No. 1 overall.

Justin Herbert

Quarterback, Oregon

Last year, it looked like the New York Giants missed out on grabbing a new franchise quarterback, as they made the decision to select Penn State running back Saquon Barkley with the No. 2 overall pick. By selecting Barkley, the bypassed on USC quarterback Sam Darnold, who has shown he is going to be a stellar quarterback in this league through the first five games of the 2018 season.

While the Giants hardly ever pick that high, they might be back in the top of the first round again next April, and they will not pass on a quarterback this time around. The offense for the Giants has been bad for a few years now, despite the playmakers they have, and Eli Manning has looked very mediocre in a season that has started off 1-4.

Justin Herbert from Oregon is going to be the top quarterback taken in 2019, and while the Giants do need help on the offensive line, he is going to be too good to pass up. The Giants need someone to take over for Manning, as he is near the end of his career, and Herbert is the guy who projects the best to the NFL level in this draft class.
