The Niners aren’t good, but they deserved to move up a few spots over the two worst teams in football.

Arizona is fighting hard and Josh Rosen looks good. The 32st spot was too low.

The Colts aren’t talented, and when Andrew Luck plays poorly, forget it.

New York Giants 1-5

The Giants were a pathetic bunch of quitters on Thursday night.

Marcus Mariota is entering bust territory at a rapid pace.

Atlanta Falcons 2-4

Atlanta has so much talent, and the win over Tampa was nice, but the injuries are piling up too quickly.

The NFC North is there for the taking if the Lions can get going.

Houston’s lucky it didn’t move down after that showing. Yuck.

Last rank: 22nd

Chicago Bears 3-2

Last week: L, 31-28 (OT) at MIA

Lose to Brock Osweiler while allowing over 500 yards, you’re taking a hit.

Jacksonville Jaguars 3-3

Biggest drop of the week. Can’t get beat like that two weeks straight and think you’re elite.

The Steelers put themselves in good position with a road win over the Bengals.

Baltimore Ravens 4-2

The Packers saved their season with that fourth-quarter rally.

Tom Brady is still Tom Terrific, and the Pats keep rolling.

Kansas City Chiefs 5-1

Last week: L, 43-40 at NE

The Chiefs played poorly early, had a ton of injuries, and still almost won in Foxborough. Impressive even in defeat.

Los Angeles Rams 6-0

Last rank: 1st

The last unbeaten.
