What a Week 7 the NFL produced. All the intensity and drama only the NFL can offer. Let’s hop in and see what a riveting Week 8 has to offer.
In Week 7 of the 2018 NFL season, we have truly witnessed history being made. Patrick Mahomes once again lit up the scoreboard against the crumbling Cincinnati Bengals. Mahomes passed HOF quarterback Kurt Warner for most passing touchdowns in a players first eight games with (22) since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970. Mahomes is also the youngest player at age (23) to throw six straight 300+ yard games.
The jolly ole London game was also full of excitement as Phillip Rivers and the Los Angeles Chargers held on to win 20-19 against the Tennessee Titans. Head coach Mike Vrabel made a gutsy call to go for the win by attempting a two-point conversion, instead of kicking the extra point and sending the game into overtime.
Tom Brady and the New England Patriots held on in Chicago as Mitchell Tribusky was one yard short of tying the game at the end of regulation with a Hail Mary pass to wide receiver Kevin White. White caught the miraculous pass just one yard shy of the end zone.
The Los Angeles Rams extended their winning streak to seven games as they routed the San Francisco 49ers 39-10. The Rams are 7-0 for the first time since the 1985 season. Los Angeles has dominated the 2018 season and made a statement to the rest of the NFL that they are the No.1 team. They are here as the frontrunners to win the Super Bowl. Is it too early to start talking about the 1972 Miami Dolphins?
