The NFL playoff picture is beginning to come into focus, and the Pittsburgh Steelers are charging into it as the Green Bay Packers start to fade.

Baltimore has lost three straight, and suddenly its playoff hopes are on thin ice.

The Titans kept playoff dreams alive with a win in Dallas.

The Texans continue to win, but it’s hard seeing them making a real playoff run.

The Eagles had to thoroughly enjoy the Redskins getting pummeled.


Washington Redskins 5-3

If you’re Washington, that game can’t happen. Now, the Redskins must win in Tampa.


Pittsburgh Steelers 5-2-1

Don’t look now, but the Steelers have won four straight and look like their old selves.


Minnesota Vikings 5-3-1

Last rank: 8th

Minnesota sacked Matthew Stafford 10 times on Sunday. That’ll do.


Carolina Panthers 6-2

Last rank: 7th

Carolina is the best team nobody talks about. The Panthers can play.


Los Angeles Chargers 6-2

Last rank: 5th

Los Angeles keeps rolling with five straight wins, putting pressure on Kansas City.


New England Patriots 7-2

Last week: W, 31-17 vs. GB
Last rank: 4th

The Patriots should be terrifying, again, for the rest of the NFL.


Los Angeles Rams 8-1

Last week: L, 45-35 at NO
Last rank: 1st

The Rams finally lost, but more notably, have major defensive issues.


New Orleans Saints 7-1

Last week: W, 45-35 at LAR
Last rank: 3rd

New Orleans is the best team in the NFC right now, and Sunday showed why.


Kansas City Chiefs 8-1

Last week: W, 37-21 at CLE
Last rank: 2nd

The Chiefs’ defense is improving, and the offense is the best we’ve seen since Peyton Manning’s time in Denver.
